Raipur, Chhattisgarh – The COVID-19 virus is resurging across Chhattisgarh, with 17 new positive cases reported in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s active tally to 50, according to today’s medical bulletin from the Health Department. Raipur district recorded the highest number of new infections, with 11 cases confirmed.

• Total Tests Conducted: 1,183

• New Positive Cases (24 hrs): 17

• Active Cases: 50

District-Wise Breakdown:

• Raipur: 31 active cases (11 new)

• Bilaspur: 12 active cases (5 new)

• Durg: 5 active cases

• Balod & Bastar: 1 active case each

  

In response to the uptick, the Chhattisgarh government has ramped up RTPCR and RAT testing statewide and placed Rapid Response Teams on high alert in every district. The Health Department urges residents to wear masks, avoid crowded places, and seek immediate testing if they experience any COVID-19 symptoms.
